We're glad you're here!

Climate conversations is a community group based in Ventura, CA - focused on discussing environmental matters within our city, county, and state.

We are still defining our mission but we'd like to provide easy access to activism and create fun ways for our community to connect to nature and connect people who care about our environment.

JOIN IN ON THE ACTION

Plastic-Free July

Plastic-Free July is a global movement that encourages people to reduce single-use plastic waste in their daily lives. It's a chance to build lasting habits that help protect our environment and inspire others to take action.

We invite you to take part in Plastic-Free July by performing your own trash audit using our template (download below) or by creating your own. Cataloging your trash will help to identify areas in your life where you may be able to reduce your plastic consumption.

We’ve broken down the month into 4 weeks - each week focusing on a particular theme for you to audit:

Weekly Themes
July 6–12: Kitchen
July 13–19: Bathroom
July 20–26: Work
July 27–31: On-the-Go

Follow along with us on Instagram for reminders and motivation! At the end of each week, we’d love for you to share your findings with us and we’ll suggest sustainable alternatives.

Stay informed about a range of environmental matters

At our meetings and events, we're sharing with each other and learning about ongoing environmental matters. We're continuously compiling these topics and creating a source for others to learn and share with others as well.
